From April next year, there will be a limit on how much money people can get from some benefits.
This is called the Benefit Cap. The Department of Work and Pensions (DWP) is writing to people who
might be affected to tell them about the changes.
People are only likely to be worse off than before if they are getting Housing Benefit.
This is because their Housing Benefit will be cut if they are getting some benefits that,
together with their Housing Benefit, take them over the cap.
It’s important that people find out now if they might be worse off after the cap starts next year,
so they can plan how to deal with it.
